Some time ago I got into situation where I was asked if I got sexual vibrations while I was wearing latex trousers at the city. "Did you go to the city without underwear"? "Did you feel horny?" And similar questions. I got really confused with these questions and almost got offended. Questions were asked like if I dressed into latex clothing just to go get sexual vibes in the public. Like someone who likes to wank at the park bushes. What a way to start conversations! What the heck?
I wore my latex jeans in public for my first time then. I was aware about prejudices and it took a lot of courage to dress in to material that I really love. For my surprise no-one actually came to have a chat with me or even dropped a comment when passing by. Maybe latex can be worn as an option to conventional materiel? Maybe men can dress into latex too?
Prejudices are something I want to change. Latex may be really sexy material and yes, latex is still very common in fetish porn and at sexual contexts. But hear this, latex is also just a fabric. Someone can get their kicks from spandex or lycra, someone can get kicks from silk and satin. Someone can get kicks from some other material and someone can get kicks from not the material but from different subjects. Someone may get kicks from latex clothing but it's still just a fabric like anything else.
This is one of the reasons why I started writing this blog. Latex is still kept as a material that would be always related to sex or porn. The one wearing latex is most of the time kept as a pervert. It isn't a surprise that latex is a taboo and regarded as a vice among the ordinary citizens because there has been never proper enlightenment about the subject.
If someone has a fetish towards some clothes or material he/she definitely loves it and it will most likely give sexual vibes too. Of course latex clothing can give these vibes but the answer isn't that simple. It's not about being a pervert who is getting aroused in the public. It's about same kind of self-expression like everyone else wants to do. If someone loves latex trousers and it feels good to wear them of course it affects to his/her self-confidence and also makes him/her feel more sexy.
But if you think about this a bit all the clothing can do the same trick. Have you been looking for self-confident men or women at the street wearing something really sexy? Maybe someone gets their kicks from mens suits? Or from something official? Maybe women wearing sport leggings actually love the feeling of those pants and feel sexy and self-confident?
Latex may be a special sight among the conventional street or business clothing. But it doesn't make you a public-wanking pervert.
So why did I wear latex in public? Here's my answer:
- To wear something I really like and love.
- To wear something that feels good.
- To wear something that I know to get attention (NOTE: Women have very much more wide options to dress into different clothes and to get noticed. Actually it feels like women have the only priviledge to get any positive attention and some praises. Why men have such a little selection? And why men shouldn't get any attention if they would like to get noticed?)
- To express myself and what I like.
- To see if I get any positive feedback and maybe even like-minded conversation.
- To feel confident and maybe even sexy. At least in my own head.
And to conclude my list: NOT because I'd wish to get aroused among others in public.
Once again I have one more point of view here to give you a picture about what kind of person a fetishist could be. Not a wanker, not a public pervert, not a threat to you. Quite an ordinary human being. Please get this and share the word. Thank you for your understanding and support <3
