Conservative masculinity vs liberal femininity - Can a man really have a choice?

I have been thinking through one of the most difficult questions regarding men in a modern world. This question is about commonly accepted features of men and the situation of those men who doesn't go with those features. I'm talking about conservative masculinity versus liberal femininity. We haven't got far from the life where men had to be tough by all means. They had to do the hard work. They had to carry their burden and maybe even their families burdens too. They had to defend their land and rights. They had to hunt. They had to be powerful. But times have changed. We live in a liberal democratic western culture where the principle is that every individual should be allowed to be themselves, express themselves as they wish and have a right to make decision regarding their gender and other things regarding their identity. We have gone far towards the better and happier world. But there is still much to do. One really important thing is to cherish the decided goals...

UK Fetish Awards takes a brave step towards equal fetish fashion world

I recently got to know that UK Fetish Awards is taking place in 16.11.2022. I haven't been very aware of events abroad as I'm living in Finland which is quite well located far away from all the big fetish events. Yeah, I know. You don't even know where Finland is... Nevertheless, I'd love to see these big events around the world. It would be easier to live fetish fashion lifestyle more often and with other like-minded friends then. But maybe I'll have chances to visit these events in the future! But let's get to the main topic. I was going through the information about the event and I noticed there are also few male candidates among all the female models. This really stunned me as I have always been criticizing fetish fashion world about unequality regarding modeling and showing almost only content about female models. This is my thanks to UK Fetish Awards for accepting all genders among models! I'm not even gay, but I'd still love to see more male mode...

Is feminine man accepted and explained only if he is a homosexual or a drag queen?

While we are making a world in the modern western culture where we all should be able to be ourselves, express ourselves as we wish and gain happiness through it I still see very much of things which crumble this picture of a free world and happiness of everyone. One thing that is long way from finising is accepting diversity. One specific thing is feminine men. In my opinion feminine men are more sensitive, delicate, empathic, social, talkative and reacting than the role models of men from the history. They may also overreact easier and be more dramatic. They may show more emotions and cry sometimes. They may wish more attention regarding themselves. Feminine men may take more care about their looks than masculine men. These and other possible feminine attributes may be just small factors but they can also be very dominant. While men can have some amount of feminine attributes which are regarded normal and unnoticed some of feminine features, in some amount and at certain men, may ...

Libidex has raised equality on their commercials

During past months I have noticed that Libidex has brought much more equality to their latex fashion commercials. Nowadays Libidex show more mens latex fashion on their newsletters and has brought male products and male models on side of their womens fashion on their website. Two examples of Libidex's great work bringing equality to latex fashion marketing.      (Source: Pictures taken as screenshots from Libidex's website). This direction is more than welcome. Bringing men on latex fashion images beside women creates not only equality but also acceptance that men are allowed to wear something fabulous too. I find it great that men can also enjoy latex fashion and feel confident and comfortable about it. I find it great that men are allowed to get attention too and can have their moment on latex fashion photography. Maybe men are allowed to get some positive attention too some day like women regarding their diverse fashion and styles. These kind of works are the key...

News and media stigmatize kinky people too often - Where are the appropriate and understanding views?

This blog article deals mostly with finnish culture and situation of finnish media and reporting regarding kinky subjects. But even if we talk about Finland only or the whole world I find reporting about kinky subjects mostly same. They are juicy topics for laughing or horror. But we lack appropriate reporting about kinky people, fetishism and BDSM. Let's start with cold facts While media mostly report kinky things in a negative way or related to negative contexts the readers of papers, followers of media and all of the "vanilla" citizens create their images regarding all the people who are related to any kinky things. There is a risk that all kinky individuals are kept similar and mostly in a negative way. I can't accept that. This is why I try to do my part by telling things from my point of view. From my point of view "kinky" as a subject is still kept too much as a taboo. While it is a taboo it is a delicious subject for only those who desire s...

Fetishism isn't an ideology itself - Keep ideologies apart from fetish events

I have noticed during past years that in the fetish related events and pictures are often involved some kind of symbols which usually are related to some kind of ideologies. Mostly these ideologies are kept as vice, minor, liberal or even evil. I question why these symbols are quite often and openly related and shown within the fetish context. Because fetishism itself isn't an ideology. It's a feature of an individual. And individuals have their own ideologies. Example one : I was taking part on a fetish event in Finland few years ago where one organizing part decided to use Nazi-related decorations around the place. It could have been just a minor thing if this symbolism would have been carried around by some individuals. But when the organizing part used these symbols and decos around widely it didn't seem to be just about decorating a fetish event. It created an atmosphere where the symbol and ideology were declared by the organizer. It made a pressurizing feeling th...

Are kinky people always craving for sex or sex partners only?

I could easily guess that most of the people think that kinky people are dominated by their sexuality and therefore driven by their sexual needs. Of course I can't talk on behalf of all the kinksters because all of the people are individuals and have their own needs and experiences. But here's once again one point of view to the mindscape that one fetishist can have. Maybe some others too. First of all I have understood that fetishism is regarded as a caste of things that are kept kinky. It means that fetishists are regarded as kinksters like people who like BDSM. But note that these castes of kinky are different. Nevertheless they all have one thing similar which is that their identity, sexuality or sex life involves sides which are commonly kept rare or something that differs from the traditional way to express oneself or have sex. The normal way is said to be "vanilla" among kinky people. It means that vanilla people live their sexuality without any spices or e...

I challenge fetish fashion world - Open your doors to diversity!

This is a challenge to all actors who are dealing with fetish fashion world. It is short and sweet: Open your doors to diversity! Some of you have already done that and it is wonderful. But there could be much more to do to improve equality in the fetish world. Mostly the fetish fashion world is still presented with slim and white-skinned sexy young women. They may be the daydreams of the many but this style of marketing drives unequality and unrealistic picture of the fetishism. Fetishism isn't the thing just for one type of people. And modeling isn't a privilege for just one type of people. This is why I dare all the fetish world agents with power to influence others to try bravely something new. This is not about discriminating young female models. We are all human beings and they are along in my challenge. My wish is to drive diversity - not to create more discrimination. So this isn't about ditching others to favor others. It is about favoring everyone. A...
