While we are making a world in the modern western culture where we all should be able to be ourselves, express ourselves as we wish and gain happiness through it I still see very much of things which crumble this picture of a free world and happiness of everyone.
One thing that is long way from finising is accepting diversity. One specific thing is feminine men.
In my opinion feminine men are more sensitive, delicate, empathic, social, talkative and reacting than the role models of men from the history. They may also overreact easier and be more dramatic. They may show more emotions and cry sometimes. They may wish more attention regarding themselves. Feminine men may take more care about their looks than masculine men. These and other possible feminine attributes may be just small factors but they can also be very dominant.
While men can have some amount of feminine attributes which are regarded normal and unnoticed some of feminine features, in some amount and at certain men, may be greatly noticed and kept bizarre. I cannot explain it very clearly but I can generalize it: Notable feminine manners and features at certain man make people think that "he must be gay".
Whether we like it or not that is the way for people to think very often. It's not about that if people accept gays. These people may be really friendly towards sexual minorities. But the way to make prejudices and stereotypes by indivudual attributes bothers me. Like there couldn't be feminine men at all unless they would be homosexuals.
Feminine men are too often oddballs. Nowadays the only way I see feminine men acceptable is if they are either in sexual minority or if they make their femininity to art such like drag queens. By these ways people can always "explain" the behavior or features of feminine men.

But how about those of the feminine men who aren't gays or drag artists? Are they welcome to be themselves as they are? And actually, are even gays or drag queens?
I'm really frustrated with our modern world in which we seem to accept everyone as they are but still we let opinions and prejudices live beneath which lead to judging each others.
In my books femininity as a feature of men is totally fine. Regardless if they are hetero- or homosexuals or drag artists. Also women, transgenders, androgynes and others are ok in my books whether they have masculine or feminine attributes. It's only the individual who makes that difference whether he or she is liked or not. And it should be based on that individuals ethics, manners and toleration towards other individuals.
Our free culture. Keeping men in castes and stigmatizing them by their masculine or feminine attributes. Despite their possible ethical kindness or other valuable attributes.

I conclude my blog text with a question which started it: Is feminine man accepted and explained only if he is a homosexual or a drag queen?
Or even then?
Or even then?
