Books: Korsetti (Annamari Marttinen)

Few months ago I read a book named "Korsetti" by Annamari Marttinen (in english "Corset)". It's a book telling a fictional, but very credible, story about a man who grows with a strong need to be a transvestite. Now that I saw an article about this book in a newspaper I remembered it again. It would be a shame not to write about the book to here too! The book starts telling the story about a young man who gets into situation where he tries on some female clothing. This situation isn't very private or deep as the character experiences it with his girlfriend. The situation is more of a joke than something serious. The girlfriend keeps the whole situation laughable but at the same time the main character starts to feel something different. Something more deep and serious. Actually if we think about it, throughout the history it has been kept very much as a joke if a man dresses into clothes which are made for the women in the first place. Still we can see t...

News and media stigmatize kinky people too often - Where are the appropriate and understanding views?

This blog article deals mostly with finnish culture and situation of finnish media and reporting regarding kinky subjects. But even if we talk about Finland only or the whole world I find reporting about kinky subjects mostly same. They are juicy topics for laughing or horror. But we lack appropriate reporting about kinky people, fetishism and BDSM. Let's start with cold facts While media mostly report kinky things in a negative way or related to negative contexts the readers of papers, followers of media and all of the "vanilla" citizens create their images regarding all the people who are related to any kinky things. There is a risk that all kinky individuals are kept similar and mostly in a negative way. I can't accept that. This is why I try to do my part by telling things from my point of view. From my point of view "kinky" as a subject is still kept too much as a taboo. While it is a taboo it is a delicious subject for only those who desire s...

Are kinky people always craving for sex or sex partners only?

I could easily guess that most of the people think that kinky people are dominated by their sexuality and therefore driven by their sexual needs. Of course I can't talk on behalf of all the kinksters because all of the people are individuals and have their own needs and experiences. But here's once again one point of view to the mindscape that one fetishist can have. Maybe some others too. First of all I have understood that fetishism is regarded as a caste of things that are kept kinky. It means that fetishists are regarded as kinksters like people who like BDSM. But note that these castes of kinky are different. Nevertheless they all have one thing similar which is that their identity, sexuality or sex life involves sides which are commonly kept rare or something that differs from the traditional way to express oneself or have sex. The normal way is said to be "vanilla" among kinky people. It means that vanilla people live their sexuality without any spices or e...

Wearing latex in public - sexual arousal or just a garment?

Some time ago I got into situation where I was asked if I got sexual vibrations while I was wearing latex trousers at the city. "Did you go to the city without underwear"? "Did you feel horny?" And similar questions.  I got really confused with these questions and almost got offended. Questions were asked like if I dressed into latex clothing just to go get sexual vibes in the public. Like someone who likes to wank at the park bushes. What a way to start conversations! What the heck? I wore my latex jeans in public for my first time then. I was aware about prejudices and it took a lot of courage to dress in to material that I really love. For my surprise no-one actually came to have a chat with me or even dropped a comment when passing by. Maybe latex can be worn as an option to conventional materiel? Maybe men can dress into latex too? Prejudices are something I want to change. Latex may be really sexy material and yes, latex is still very common in fetish porn...

Movies: Rubbers Ou Onna (Japan, 2010)

It was many years back when I found a mention about this movie on some website. There was a sho rt br iefing about the movie and it said the movie tells about a young woman who ha s a latex fetish . Of course I got interested about the movie and trie d to get i t in my hands as soon as possible. I had my prejudices regarding t he movie. Always when I had heard about a woman and latex clothing being in same movie it had been a fetish sex film or some short scene in a movie where some sexy bimbo wears PVC pants and makes i t excessive and a joke. I was very happy to find out that this movie wasn't a joke. It w as exactly what I had wished for a long time. Rubbers ou onna movie cover. Rubbers Ou Onna (also sometimes: "Rabâzu: Oou onna") is a japanese movie from year 2010. It's in japanese language. I didn't have an opportunity to watch the movie with subti tles or dub. Therefore my review is based on my own feelings and to things I saw in the movie. So...
