While we are making a world in the modern western culture where we all should be able to be ourselves, express ourselves as we wish and gain happiness through it I still see very much of things which crumble this picture of a free world and happiness of everyone. One thing that is long way from finising is accepting diversity. One specific thing is feminine men. In my opinion feminine men are more sensitive, delicate, empathic, social, talkative and reacting than the role models of men from the history. They may also overreact easier and be more dramatic. Few months ago I read a book named "Korsetti" by Annamari Marttinen (in english "Corset)". It's a book telling a fictional, but very credible, story about a man who grows with a strong need to be a transvestite. Now that I saw an article about this book in a newspaper I remembered it again. It would be a shame not to write about the book to here too! The book starts telling the story about a young man who gets into situation where he tries on some female clothing. This situation isn't very private or deep as the character experiences it with his girlfriend. The situation is more of a joke than something serious. I have a strong opinion that kinky is a caste of sexual minority. Whether kinky should be added among other sexual minorities or not will be always a sensitive subject. There are many perspectives how kinky is not the same thing as being a person from under the rainbow. First of all many people say that being kinky is about having sex in a certain way. It's commonly not considered among sexual minorities because traditional sexual minorities are about loving other people who are not of opposite gender. The common conservative demands create an unequal situation between genders. It is highly acknowledged that men and women should wear different type of clothes. I should read more history as I can't figure how have this become an overwhelming standard in such free cultures as in modern western countries. If we take a look back for approximately few hundred years there were many high-valued men wearing pantyhose, high boots, corsets and even wigs. Nowadays if we narrow it simply the only clothing that a "real man" should wear is the mens suit. Collared shirt and a tie. If someone want's to add some color he can change the tie or pocket hankie. Most of us don't care about something until it concerns our own life. Most of us don't even want to try and understand diversity until we crave for understanding and approval ourselves. I really miss a proper enlightenment about kinky theme. Kinky things have popped out here and there and they have often reached interest and attention. But the way those kinky things have been brought to light have been poor. There are almost always only two ways how kinky things are dealt with: They are a laughing stock or horrible things. The reason for this is quite simple: The lack of appropriate approach aiming to common knowledge about kinky subjects. You can once again compare kinky people situation to HLBTIQ-people.
