Hints and tips for dating fetishists and kinky people

It has been a long time since I got one comment concerning my blog. I got a suggestion I should write something about dating. It is really challenging subject. Back in time I found it hard to find dates who could have been interested about fetishes or with whom could be discussed about fetishism properly. And if one could be found it was always hard to match other subjects like everyday life, family expections and seriousness of relationship. It could have been easy to find company but fetishism was always quite a taboo. I'd love to see that fetishism could be discussed properly without needs of shame or hiding. And so my first advice is: Tell about your fetishism in early stage of your possible relationship. Later it will become harder and if the subject is critical it can destroy the relationship that has otherwise been really great. But lets dig deeper into dating. Here are my thoughts. Some options for dating: - FetLife : FetLife is a "Facebook" made for kinky people....

American horror stories create negative prejudices against fetishism

Please note that the serie dealt in this text has   age rating 18  in most countries .  This blog text doesn't involve offensive pictures and it describes the serie only in common way. So this blog text is ok to read and shouldn't be offensive. Some time ago I bumped into internet article which told about some actress and her situation. It was almost just an article among others but one photo on it caught my attention. In that photo I saw some poster on the background in which was something black and shiny. I instantly identified it as an outfit of some kind. I got very interested what poster it was and what was it promoting. The search was really hard and almost frustrating as that actress didn't have a connection to that subject. After a long search I found results. The poster is promoting a serie called "American Horror Stories". Once I found this out I was really disappointed. I already knew what was coming on. I have worn latex outfits for about 15 years now....

News and media stigmatize kinky people too often - Where are the appropriate and understanding views?

This blog article deals mostly with finnish culture and situation of finnish media and reporting regarding kinky subjects. But even if we talk about Finland only or the whole world I find reporting about kinky subjects mostly same. They are juicy topics for laughing or horror. But we lack appropriate reporting about kinky people, fetishism and BDSM. Let's start with cold facts While media mostly report kinky things in a negative way or related to negative contexts the readers of papers, followers of media and all of the "vanilla" citizens create their images regarding all the people who are related to any kinky things. There is a risk that all kinky individuals are kept similar and mostly in a negative way. I can't accept that. This is why I try to do my part by telling things from my point of view. From my point of view "kinky" as a subject is still kept too much as a taboo. While it is a taboo it is a delicious subject for only those who desire s...

Are kinky people always craving for sex or sex partners only?

I could easily guess that most of the people think that kinky people are dominated by their sexuality and therefore driven by their sexual needs. Of course I can't talk on behalf of all the kinksters because all of the people are individuals and have their own needs and experiences. But here's once again one point of view to the mindscape that one fetishist can have. Maybe some others too. First of all I have understood that fetishism is regarded as a caste of things that are kept kinky. It means that fetishists are regarded as kinksters like people who like BDSM. But note that these castes of kinky are different. Nevertheless they all have one thing similar which is that their identity, sexuality or sex life involves sides which are commonly kept rare or something that differs from the traditional way to express oneself or have sex. The normal way is said to be "vanilla" among kinky people. It means that vanilla people live their sexuality without any spices or e...
